We are focused on providing the skills needed to safely handle firearms and to develop proficiency in handgun sports and self protection. Our classes focus on firearms knowledge, skills, safety and law. We will do everything we can to exceed your expectations. We offer a three to four hour class that exceeds the requirements for a Concealed Handgun Permit at $50 per person with classes designed for maximum one-on-one instruction time.

Our chief instructor, Rick Thornton has more than 39 years of firearms experience and is a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Range Safety Officer.

• Served six years in the US Army as a Military Police Officer and qualified expert with the .45 cal model 1911 and M-16.
• Served as a member of the Special Reaction Team, the military version of a SWAT team and trained with a variety of tactical firearms.
• Completed the German Police Firearms Training Course while stationed in Germany and working as the liaison officer in Frankfurt.
• More than thirty years of law enforcement, private security and investigations experience.
• Eleven years as a private security General Instructor and Firearms Instructor through the Department of Criminal Justice Services in Virginia. Nine years as a Campus Safety Officer Instructor through the Department of Criminal Justice Services.
• Competes in three gun competitions and is an avid skeet shooter.
